Things to do in Haworth

Our holiday cottages are just a stones throw away from the beautiful village of Haworth, which offers a wealth of interesting and fun things to do, plus hosts a number of well known events like the 1940’s weekend, which transports you back in time to the midst of the second world war.

Visitors can wander down its cobbled main street and explore the many tea rooms, gift shops and restaurants on offer.

Haworth is the home of the Worth Valley Railway which was the location for the film “The Railway Children.”

A visit to the Bronte Parsonage Museum is a must for all visitors as the majority of the famous works by the Bronte sisters were written whilst they lived at the Parsonage and their father was the parson at the nearby church of St. Michael and all Angels.

Top Withens which was thought to be the inspiration behind Emily Brontes novel “Wuthering Heights” is just a short walk past the Bronte Waterfall and across the moors from Haworth.

Throughout the year the village of Haworth hosts many unique and interesting events such as the 1940’s weekend in May and the Torchlight Procession at Christmas.

You can see the latest upcoming events at the Haworth Village website.
